My father, a WWII veteran, sparked my lifelong interest in American history with his captivating stories. Years later, I began researching these tales, and sharing these incredible accounts of our nation's past with various groups and organizations.

This journey led to And Then They Prayed, a book that recounts numerous instances throughout American history where prayer profoundly impacted events, from military victories to personal revelations.

And Then They Prayed by Barry Loudermilk

I pray that, as you read this book, you will not only become reunited with our providential heritage, but you will also be inspired by the character of these men and their unwavering dedication to God and Country.

Barry's Projects

Where My Stories Begin

Though everyone’s life experiences are unique, according to the Bible, the challenges we face today are not unlike those someone else has already been through in the past. Through my writing, I want to share how God used times of trouble to prepare me to be courageous, patient, and to have the fortitude to overcome the challenges.

God has allowed me to face significant challenges, and He has always brought me through. However, by allowing me to fight these battles, He has made me a stronger person. I believe sharing my personal stories may help someone fight the battles they may be facing in their own life.

For me, writing is about preserving the past and inspiring others; and through it, we pass along wisdom, knowledge, and hope, which is the formula for building our faith.
